Dear Parents and Carers, We are now into our second term of 'Learning Challenges'. After interviewing the children they tell us that they really enjoy learning in this way and that they feel they have more control over their own learning. The children also told us that they are learning new facts in history and geography and not repeating things that they already knew. Below I have listed some of the learning challenges for the classes this half term: Y6-Why do we always have famine in some parts of Africa? Who is the children's laureate? Y5-Why do we have more floods now? Is JK Rowling more some famous than William Shakespeare? Y4-How will global warming change my life? What is a sheep-pig? Y3-How far do my Mum and Dad travel to work? Is Henry really Horrid? Y2-How many places can you visit on a bus travelling from Billinge? Who is your favourite Roald Dahl character? Y1-How can we make our school grounds even nicer? Who is the biggest baddy? We are sure the children will enjoy their topics. Best Wishes, Mrs M Ravenscroft
