This week is all about Julia Donaldson's 'The Gruffalo'.

You can listen to the story here.

Have a go at the flashcards game on phonics play. Get a grown up to choose 'individual graphemes' and select all the phase 2 sounds and the phase 3 sounds up to 'ow'. These are the sounds that we have already learned so see which ones you can remember.

Have a listen to the tricky word song here. See if you recognise any of the tricky words. There's also the Jolly Phonics Phase 2 song and the Jolly Phonics Phase 3 song for you to listen to.

Below are some books that I'd like you to have a go at reading. The first two are pink band books, the second two are red band books. You don't need to read them all today, you can always come back to them. If you think the first two are easy then you could try the second two.

Which number are we learning this week? Number 13. 13 comes after last week's number 12. Have a look at the Number 13 powerpoint. See what the Sesame Street gang are up to. Can they count to 13? Have a look at the Number 13 home learning challenges. Can you do any of the challenges? They are pretty simple. Have a go.

You have worked hard all week. This afternoon, have a rest and watch The Gruffalo, you deserve it. Maybe you could have some owl ice cream or orange eyes or gruffalo crumble as a treat?

Have a great weekend.
