This week is all about Julia Donaldson's 'Zog'.

You can listen to the story here.

This week's phonics sounds are ur and er. After these sounds the only sounds that we need to learn in phase 3 are trigraphs. These sounds have three letters in them. Before we move onto trigraphs though we will revisit the digraphs that we have already learned. These are qu, ng, ch, sh, th, ai, ee, oa, oo, or, ar, ow, oi, ur and er.

Have a go at the flashcards game on phonics play. Get a grown up to choose 'individual graphemes' and select all the phase 2 sounds and the phase 3 sounds up to 'oi'. These are the sounds that we have already learned so see which ones you can remember.

Today's sound is 'ur' This link will take you to today's lesson. Show your grown up how Mrs Cunliffe clicks on each of the tabs at the top to watch the video, reading, spelling and writing. You can also watch Geraldine to see if she can find anything with the ur sound in.

When you've finished your lesson you complete this sheet or practise writing ur. You might be able to write some words with ur in.

Have a look at the rhyming words powerpoint. See if you can match the words that ryhme. We have done this before so this should be okay for you. Have a look at the word zog. Can you think of other words that rhyme with zog? Write a list of words that rhyme with zog on the sheet.

Have a look at the ordering numbers powerpoint. Start with ordering numbers 1-10. You just need to click on the number that come next. If you can, try the numbers 1-20 and see how far you can get. Now download the ordering numbers sheets. There are two sheets, you can fill in the missing numbers to 10 or 20, or you can do both. If you need help with number formation, the numberal song is here.

I have added a couple of Zog activities for you too. Have a great day.
