This week is all about Julia Donaldson's 'The Gruffalo'.

You can listen to the story here.

This week's phonics sounds are ar, ur, er and or.

Have a go at the flashcards game on phonics play. Get a grown up to choose 'individual graphemes' and select all the phase 2 sounds and the phase 3 sounds up to 'ar'. These are the sounds that we have already learned so see which ones you can remember.

Today's sound is 'or' This link will take you to today's lesson. Show your grown up how Mrs Cunliffe clicks on each of the tabs at the top to watch the video, reading, spelling and writing. You can also watch Geraldine to see if she can find anything with the or sound in.

When you've finished your lesson you complete this sheet or practise writing ar. You might be able to write some words with or in.

For Literacy today I'd like you to do some reading. Have  alook at the tricky words song here first. Now open the books below. If you can read at least one book that would be fabulous! Mrs Cunliffe is feeling worried that all the work you and your grown ups have been doing and all the progress you have made with reading, you might forget while you're at home. Please try and read as much as you can. If your grown ups would like some books from school they can email me and I will leave some at the office for you.

Have a look at the subtraction bears powerpoint and take part in the activities. When you take bears away the number of bears get less so you will have a smaller number of bears at the end. Now see if you can complete the Gruffalo number sentences. You will need to cross of the number of Gruffalos to see how many you have left.

I have added a couple of Gruffalo activities for you too. Have a great day.
