wc 18th January 2021 - FULL WEEK

Information

IMPORTANT JOB EVERY MONDAY - create a scrapbook for the week through your pupil login of the school website entitled LOCKDOWN 2021 SCRAPBOOK WEEK 3 (tag your name on too) - on here you can upload documents, photos etc of the work you have done so I can have a look at it. We will print it out here and stick it into your books. I've extended the hand in dates on the two Geography pieces as I know you have been working hard and it gives everyone a few more days to upload. The other pieces on your Homework Dashboard is the biography writing that completes the English work and the Tour of Duty Reading monitor we discussed on Friday in Teams.

Timetable

In class we would normally get Daily Maths, Spelling, Guided Reading, Maths and English done in a morning followed by another curriculum area - Geography, Science, RE, French etc. - in an afternoon.

Anything labelled EXTRA or BEAST doesn't necessarily have to be done - they are there if you want them.

Maths -

Daily Maths Starter - as we do in class - one set of questions per day. The PowerPoint we use is in the resource list below.

Daily Lessons

Follow the linked teaching video then download and complete the worksheets. The worksheets and answer sheets are in the extensive resource list at the bottom of this page.

I have also included some EXTRA worksheets for each lesson - they are only there IF you need more practice OR if you want some more Maths to do! These EXTRAS have 3 sheets of questions and problems - each getting progressively harder. The final sheet is quite challenging and over a good alternative to the BEASTS. Answers are also included in the resource list below. Remember they are only there IF you want some EXTRA work!

Monday - Dividing by 10,100,1000 - Click here for video teaching.

Tuesday - Multiplying decimals by integers  - Click here for video teaching.

Wednesday - Dividing decimals by integers - Click here for video teaching.

Thursday - Division to solve problems - Click here for video teaching.

Friday - recover and complete any remaining activities from the week. I've added some general arithmetic work to the bottom of the resource list on this page (scroll all the way down) Even though there are no SATs now - it is a great skill to keep working on. Have a bash at as much as you can.

Extras

Decimal number BEASTS have been added to the resource list below, along with the solutions. Have a go if you're feeling brave!!

I have also added some EXTRA maths worksheets and answers for each day. These are only IF you want EXTRA practice. The worksheets have three sections, each getting progressively harder. The final section is quite challenging and offers a good alternative to the BEASTS.
