Week beginning Monday 29th November 2021

Welcome to this week's class page. I hope everyone who's continuing to isolate due to Covid is getting on okay. Hopefully things will soon get back to normal a bit more. This work is for those of you who actually feel well enough to be getting on with stuff. Obviously, if you're ill, you need to just focus on getting plenty of rest and getting better.

Anyway, here we go.

Maths: We are continuing to follow the Maths sessions on the Year 6 page.

Click here to access the videos, worksheets and answers.

Also access TTRS as much as possible.

Spellings: all of this week's sheets are at the bottom of the page.

Reading: on Wednesday, we will be starting our new Guided Reading unit on the classic Charles Dickens story A Christmas Carol. At the bottom of this page you will find the text to read through and the Guided Reading questions. These will be updated daily.

Not all of last week's reading activities were accessed. Click here to access any of last week's reading sheets that you did not get round to completing.

You can also click here to access five Oak Academy online lessons about the poem The British by the amazing Benjamin Zephaniah.

Also remember to be reading your novels and home readers. Keep on top of your journal entries, too, please.

Writing: click here for this week's writing tasks.

RE: click on this link to continue with a sequence of online lessons all about Buddhism. There are ten lessons so I wouldn't have expected you to have completed them all last week. Continue to work through the sessions if you are well enough and have time.

Geography: at the bottom of this page, you will find Wednesday afternoon's presentation and worksheet for our new unit called Marvellous Maps. It would be very useful if you had an atlas. You can also follow this link to learn about who Atlas was. UPDATE: Thursday's work is now also available at the bottom of the page.

HeartSmart: Friday's HeartSmart worksheet can be found at the bottom of this page.

Stay safe and keep well,

Mr Crosby.
