Week beginning Wednesday 5th January 2022 (HT3 week 1)

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are refreshed and ready to go again. Here are your activities for this first, short week back.

Spelling: this week's spellings can all be found at the bottom of the page.

English: all presentations and worksheets can be found at the bottom of this page.

Wednesday: possessive apostrophes.

Thursday: noun or pronoun?

Friday: prepositional phrases.

Reading: keep on top of your journal entries. I'm sure you all received lots of lovely, new books over Christmas - I can't wait to read about them in your journals!

You could also click here to complete three short Oak Academy sessions on reading for pleasure.

Maths: all worksheets and answers can be found at the bottom of this page. Click on the following links to access the teaching videos.

Wednesday: common factors.

Thursday: prime numbers.

Friday: square numbers.

Science: click here to access the Developing Experts website. You were all given your login details earlier in the year but email me at rob.crosby@sthelens.org.uk if you need them sending out again.

I have scheduled three lessons for this week, each of which should appear on your dashboard when you access it each day.

Wednesday: understanding the actions of filtering, sieving and evaporating.

Thursday: be able to explain the words dissolve and solution.

Friday: understand that some changes to materials are not reversible.

Let me know if you have any problems accessing the lessons.

Have a great week and stay safe,

Mr Crosby.
